BARBER BATTLE DESCRIPTION / RULES:

Taper / Blowout Fade

The Cleanest and most basic fade has never lost it’s prominence in the barbering industry. With so many different variations of the haircut barbers must show their ability to control contrast as well as stay true to the true taper.

Barbers will be judged on the cleanliness, contrast and level of difficulty of the shave. There will be a time limit of 35 mins.

Classic Cut w/ Beard

This is each barber’s chance to blend traditional barbering with the high end trends of shaving today. Classic cuts may be anything from all generations of barbering and beards may be range from full and simple all the way to designed with complex blade techniques. 


Barbers will be judged on the cleanliness, contrast and level of difficulty of the shave. There will be a time limit of 35 mins. 


Low Fade Combover

The biggest trending haircut in the barbering industry has finally made its way back around. With so many variations of textures, this haircut makes for unlimited looks. However, the only requirement for this haircut is that the fade must drop below the occipital bone. 


Barbers will be judged on the creativity, cleanliness, overall look of the haircut. There will be a time limit of 35 mins.

Wave Cut

This competition showcases each barber’s ability to control texture. The objective of this category is perform a wave cut that ripples higher than a tsunami. Barbers will be judged on cleanliness, creativity and overall look. There will be a time limit 35 mins. 


21 & Under

This battle will be for the up and coming or for this who have been cutting for years but are 21 years of age or younger. Each contestant must bring proof of age in order to compete in this competition. This battle will be the haircut of your choice, a chance to show off your bet blends, fades, parts and Line-ups.

Cut to impress, these barbers will be judged on cleanliness, level of difficulty, and overall look. There will be a time limit of 35 mins.

Creative Design

This is for any barber that wants to show off their artistry skills and creativity from the simple to the most complex designs. Come Hard or don’t come at all. Barbers will be judged on how creative and clean their design is. There are no limitations to what you can create and what you use to create that look.

Barbers will be judges on the complexity of the design, the way in which and enhancements or colours are used, and the overall look of the design it self. There will be absolutely no extra points given for extra props and costumes, however it is welcomed. The judges will only judge the haircut it self. There will be a time limit of 40 mins.

Tag Team

This battle is the opportunity for 2 barbers to join forces and literally work together on one head at the same time. There are no limitations except for that each person has to have done a significant part of the haircut and that the haircut makes sense. Colours and enhancements are welcome.

Barbers will be judged on level of difficulty, creativity and overall look of the haircut. There will be a time limit of 30 mins.

OVERALL COMPETITION RULES:

-All Models and barbers must be checked in by 12PM 


-All models will be inspected before each battle begins.

-All Barbers are responsible for brining their own powerbars and equiptment/tools.


-No pre-cuts, no shape-ups, no pre-lines of any sort for any battle.


-All blades or hazardous waste must be disposed of properly

-A positive attitude must be used in compliance the day of the event, failure to do so will result in the removal of the event. 


-You are responsible for your own models, in the event that you injure them.


-With signing of this registration paper you have given Heavy Hitter Barber Battle the rights to all photos and videos taken at the place of the event.


-Registration fees include one model per category, assistants and any other personnel must pay for a general admission ticket 
-Each barber must practice all rules as stated in order to compete.

-If a barber has failed to do as listed above, Heavy Hitter Barber Battle staff has the right to remove the barber from the competition without the refund of admission/registration fees.
